Mr. Murray has more than 5 years combined of professional and academic experience in a range of planning topic areas. Chief among them are environmental and land use planning, urban design, transportation planning, economic analysis, and public policy, including others. He is particularly interested in the intersection between land use, sustainability, and environmental justice.
At Meridian Consultants, Mr. Murray has contributed to a range of environmental documents, including Project Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs), Addendums to EIRs, Environmental Assessments, Initial Studies, and Mitigated Negative Declarations. He has worked on major transportation infrastructure projects, mixed-use residential real estate projects, pipelines, and urban infill developments. Mr. Murray’s project experience has brought him to diverse locales in Southern California, from inland communities such as Victorville and Palm Desert to Inglewood and Los Angeles near the coast.Through his prior professional involvements, Mr. Murray has experience in both the public and private sectors on a variety of areas, including plan review, GIS analysis, and inventory management. In addition to environmental planning documents, as part of his undergraduate education, Mr. Murray was able to contribute toward the creation of a Specific Plan, Health Element, and Active Transportation Plan. Key tasks for these products included research, GIS mapping, design document creation, community workshop facilitation, and plan writing.
